Why People Choose Us

    What Is Aggregate?

Aggregates are fragments of coarse to medium grain rock, sand, and gravel, used in landscaping. They are obtained through surface mining or quarrying, when large rock formations are drilled, blasted, and processed into smaller rocks and sand.

Decorative aggregates specifically designed for landscaping serve several purposes, including improving drainage and enhancing outside aesthetic appeal. The most common type of aggregate consists of sand, gravel, crushed stone, and recycled concrete or fill.

Each type of landscape aggregate has a different use depending on material and stone size.

    • Crushed Stone: Available in a range of sizes, shapes, and colors, crushed stone is an excellent ground cover, paving, draining material, and expansive landscape aggregate. The most common types of rocks crushed into stone include limestone, dolomite, granite, and traprock.
    • Pebbles: Ideal for walkways, playgrounds, patios, mulching, and high-traffic areas, these smooth stones with round edges have a natural appearance and versatile aesthetic caused by natural weathering. Large Mexican Pebbles, such as the ones we stock, are ideal for lining flower beds and pathways.
    • Stone Chips: Stone aggregates are generated as waste during the process of cutting and polishing marble, granite, and Kota stone. These decorative chippings for gardens complement conventionally landscaped exteriors and are suited to pathways, driveways, and parking areas. They’re also excellent for ground cover and planting beds.
    • Gravel: Many homeowners use gravel for above-ground applications like accent gardens or flower beds. Primarily made from basalt, limestone, and sandstone, this aggregate is rounder and smaller than crushed stone. It is also suitable for drainage, pipe bedding, and fence post installation aggregate.

I am building a 75 gallon aquascape. I need some medium to large gravel. They have it all. More than I could even see on the website. Way more budget friendly than anything online or in pet stores. They also carry slate and granite which look great underwater and have no effect on the water quality. Will not harm your fish!! Everyone that I came in contact with was so nice, helpful, and accommodating.  It was a seamless experience.
