These 2" x 12" x 72" natural sandstone treads are mid-tone blueish gray tone. They offer flexibility and can be used as coping or treads. Best used for bluestone steps, walkways, and patios, thermal bluestone provides the non-slip, textured surface necessary in flat outdoor spaces.
To create the classic man-made texture of bluestone, a high-temperature flame is applied to bluestone treads and slabs. The retexturing procedure, also called “thermaling,” gives the stone its name and makes it rough to the touch. The irregular finish of bluestone makes it perfect for spaces with heavy foot traffic, and it works especially well for surfaces that need to be flat and even for safety and well-being.
